Mariam Al-Alami

Hey! I’m Mariam, a passionate graphic designer and soon to be graduate of Typography & Graphic Communication from the University of Reading. During my time here, I’ve developed a strong and versatile skill set, specialising in typography, packaging design, and editorial/book design. Through both university projects and freelance work, I’ve grown to appreciate the power of typography. As a designer, I’m particularly interested in creating designs that feels both visually engaging and meaningful, with a strong focus on typography, detail, and communication. I’m always looking to push my creativity further, explore new ideas, and develop work that connects with people in an authentic way.

SMITHEREENS

For my third year packaging project, I redesigned the album ‘SMITHEREENS’ by Joji as well as the inner sleeve for the album. My other deliverables consisted of an A3 track listings poster insert that comes with the album, a t-shirt and a large format advertisement poster for Joji’s tour.
