Hey! I’m Malak, a designer graduating from the University of Reading’s Typography & Graphic Communication course. Over the past few years I’ve developed a strong interest in branding and UX design, especially how design can shape the way people interact with and understand the work around them. This course has helped me grow creatively and I’ve developed skills in typography, editorial design, research, and all things digital design. I believe design should create experiences that not only look good, but communicate clearly and connect with people.

Ova is a personalised app designed to support young women living with PCOS. Focusing on helping users understand their patterns, track symptoms without feeling overwhelmed, and receiving support to manage their condition day-to-day. It provides insights, diet guidance, movement suggestions, and medication reminders based on logged symptoms to help users feel more informed and in control of their health.

Editorial

REWIND explores nostalgia and examines how past trends resurface and regain relevance. Through features on film cameras, vinyl, fashion revivals, and cultural references, the magazine investigates why we continually return to old aesthetics and change them for modern life. Each issue focuses on a different era, analysing how it continues to influence contemporary fashion, music, and media with a design-led approach.
